Westland Insurance announced a one-year, $150,000 national partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada, which includes a matching gift of $50,000 for Habitat Canada’s critically important holiday campaign, that launched November 1 and runs until December 31, 2021.

The global pandemic has increased the need for safe and affordable housing. We are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity in their work to battle homelessness by supporting their national holiday campaign “Traditions” as their exclusive match partner. Home Build Sponsor: Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan’s Yorkton Chapter

We kicked off our national partnership with Habitat Canada with a $50,000 Home Sponsorship in support of its Saskatchewan’s Yorkton Chapter. Cari Watson, Westland’s Senior Vice President of Marketing Client Experience, was able to attend the soil turning ceremony back in August, and our Yorkton team took part in our first of five build days in early October.

Property Insurance Home Build Exclusive Partner: Habitat for Humanity Manitoba

We are proud of the Property Insurance Build Partner in Manitoba for 2021, with a commitment of $50,000. We have five build days in the coming months where Westland team will be on the build site alongside the family and the construction crew. On September 17, 2021 Todd Peterson, Westland’s Vice President of Prairie Retail, had the pleasure of meeting with the family who will soon move into the home. The family of three was sharing an apartment with their extended family, and their son was sharing a bedroom with his grandfather. Through the Habitat homeownership program, both will finally enjoy a bedroom to themselves. We look forward to partnering with the Habitat team on more projects together.
