Amplifying Possibilities, One Donation at a Time: Westland’s 2025 Food Drive Results
In June, Westland employees in BC and Alberta stepped up in a big way to support local food banks and community partners through our annual food drive and fundraiser. The results speak for themselves!
What we raised together
In total, we collected 10,532 pounds of food overall:
- 9,555 pounds of food in BC
- 977 pounds of food in Alberta
And raised $23,147.83:
- $21,165.13 in BC
- $1,982.70 in Alberta
These donations will help stock shelves, fill fridges, and support food security across the communities we call home.
A record-breaking year
In 2024, we raised over 6,000 pounds of food and just over $10,000. This year, we more than doubled those numbers. It’s a powerful reflection of the generosity of our people, the strength of our local partnerships, and the importance of giving back.
Why it matters
Food insecurity continues to affect thousands of families across Canada. Community food banks are essential, and they rely on steady support to meet growing needs. Every dollar raised and every can donated helps someone access a basic necessity: nourishment.
At Westland, we’re committed to helping our local communities – supporting local food programs is one way we bring that commitment to life.
Thank you
To everyone who donated, volunteered, or helped organize food drive efforts in their branch or community: thank you. Your kindness and commitment made this possible.
