Vacation Destinations Around BC

With the long weekend just around the corner, here are some fantastic destinations if you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway.

1. Sea to Sky Highway

With many great scenic views along this stretch of highway from North Vancouver to Pemberton, you’re sure to find no shortage of vacation destinations. With a wide variety of activities to choose from such as hiking Garibaldi or The Chief in the Squamish area, or heading to the all season’s resort in Whistler, there’s bound to be an activity for you and the whole family! Whether you’re taking in the views of the Peak2Peak Gondolas on top of Whistler Mountain, relaxing in the village, or making a stop at any of the picturesque communities along the highway, this highway is home to many fantastic attractions for you to explore.

2. Okanagan Wineries

Do you like to indulge in good food and wine? Then taking heading to the Okanagan for a tour of the area’s many wineries may be the trip for you!  As the second largest wine region in Canada, the Okanagan is home to some of the world’s best in class wines and wineries. Pack a picnic to enjoy and plan a tour around some of the wineries in Kelowna, Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton, Kamloops, and Keremeos.  This trip is an ideal retreat from the busyness of life and the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a relaxing get away.

3. Sunshine Coast

Located just a short 40 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver’s Horseshoe Bay, the Sunshine Coast has a wide variety of activities to choose from. Whether you stop to visit the historic Gibsons Landing for lunch, shopping in Sechelt, or take the long winding road all the way to the Skookumchuck Narrows to see the rapids put on a show,  the Sunshine Coast leaves you wanting to stay and play longer no matter how long your trip.
