Westland Insurance donates $25,000 to Canadian Red Cross to support those impacted by Hurricane Fiona
September 26, 2022, Surrey, BC/Territories of the Coast Salish (Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen first nation) – Westland Insurance has donated $25,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts in eastern Canada. Money raised will help the Red Cross carry out relief, recovery, resiliency, and risk reduction activities in the devastated area.
“This is an incredibly challenging and stressful time for the people of eastern Canada, and it’s important that we all come together to support recovery efforts there,” says Jason Wubs, Westland’s CEO. “We have employees, clients, friends, and family who have been impacted. Our work as insurance professionals is to help them feel protected and supported under these challenging circumstances.”

Canadians who want to help those impacted by this disaster can donate to the Canadian Red Cross at www.redcross.ca, or by calling 1-800-418-1111. The Government of Canada will match donations made to the Hurricane Fiona in Canada Appeal by Canadians and corporations up to October 23, 2022.
