SRE Auto Insurance Explained
Special risk extension is a product that is sold separate of your compulsory MPI auto coverage. Depending on your vehicle, SRE can be coverage in excess of MPI basic coverage, extension coverage for vehicles eligible for Autopac coverage, primary coverage for vehicles ineligible for MPI coverage or for vehicles not available under Autopac coverage.
There are certain vehicles that may benefit from SRE coverage, including:
- Heavy Vehicles (weight exceeds maximum allowance)
- Semi Trailers
- Trailers
- Some off road vehicles.
