Westland Insurance Presents Vancouver Bandits Indigenous Celebration Night: Honoring Culture and Community

June 25, 2023 – Westland Insurance recently partnered with the Vancouver Bandits to sponsor the much-anticipated Indigenous Celebration Night. This is our second year partnering with the Bandits as a game presenting partner to engage with The event was a resounding success, bringing together sports enthusiasts, community members, and Indigenous artists in a night filled with excitement, recognition, and appreciation.

Honouring Indigenous Culture

As the Game Day Presenting Partner, Westland’s sponsorship of the Vancouver Bandits Indigenous Celebration Night continues our commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity. By dedicating an entire event to celebrating Indigenous culture, the Vancouver Bandits and Westland Insurance helped foster a sense of belonging and recognition for the Indigenous community within the sports arena.

Special Edition Jerseys

Among the event’s many highlights, attendees had the opportunity to win one of two special edition jerseys designed by Indigenous artist Jeff Dickson. These jerseys were a symbol of support for the Indigenous community and a tangible representation of the power of art and culture in sports. We were excited that youth attendees won the jerseys at the event and will enjoy them for years to come.

Community Engagement

We had an excellent group of Westland Insurance volunteers at the event to distribute swag and collect entries for the special jersey giveaway. The pre-game atmosphere was exciting and vibrant and carried into the game itself. This direct interaction with the community exemplified Westland Insurance’s commitment to actively fostering community relationships.
