Westland Insurance supports Vancouver Pride

Westland Insurance was proud to support the Vancouver Pride Society with an entry in the annual Vancouver Pride Parade on August 6 in Vancouver, BC. Thirty Westland employees joined over 100 kcal community groups, non-profits, organizations, and businesses in showcasing their support for 2LGBTG+ communities in the Lower Mainland.

This year, Westland worked in partnership with members from Langara College Film Arts on creating our float entry. In keeping in line with the Pride societies emphasis on sustainability, Westland’s float was built using all sustainable and reusable materials.
Participating in Pride is an opportunity to celebrate the love, diversity and connection of 2SLGBTQ+ people in Vancouver and across Canada. Diversity, Inclusion and Equity is a core pillar of Westland’s Amplifying Communities initiative which is intended to support organizations that positively contribute to the fabric of our communities.

Westland team members were invigorated by the energy of the over 150,000 pride attendees who enjoyed receiving pride swag and interacting with our marchers.

Westland is already planning for Pride 2024, let’s keep working together to create a safe and inclusive space for all.
