Westland Insurance celebrates a winning season with the Ontario Hockey League 

Westland Insurance is proud to have partnered with the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) throughout the 2023-24 season, a collaboration that brought excitement and community engagement to new heights. 

Congratulations to the London Knights!

We extend our congratulations to the London Knights on their remarkable victory in the 2024 OHL Championship. The Knights showcased outstanding skill and determination, sweeping the Oshawa Generals with a 4-0 series record.  

Celebrating community involvement with the Ontario Hockey League

At Westland Insurance, we believe in being an authentic and invested community member. Our partnership with the OHL allowed us to highlight the incredible community involvement of OHL players in their respective cities. During the 2023-24 regular season, we proudly showcased a monthly community player(s) with the Barrie Colts, Brantford Bulldogs, and Peterborough Petes. 

Players have made many contributions on and off the ice. Their efforts in supporting local initiatives and positively impacting their communities truly embody the spirit of giving back.

Amplifying the excitement during playoffs

As the OHL Playoffs progressed into round three and the Championship round, we were thrilled to be featured on a double rink board during many pivotal moments, including goal celebrations and faceoffs. Our presence on RogersTV, other local TV stations, and TSN helped spread the excitement to hockey fans across the region. 

Engaging fans with concourse game activations

During the playoffs, the Westland Insurance team hosted concourse game activations at six different games. Our staff set up booths where fans could participate in fun activities and win exciting prizes, including signed jerseys, pucks, and more. Our jumbotron commercials and QR code advertisements further enhanced our campaign, helping us reach new clients and build stronger relationships within the community. 

Looking ahead

As we reflect on this incredible season, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the OHL and celebrate the achievements of these talented athletes. We look forward to continuing our support of the league and its community initiatives in the future.
